CMP 40Xs ?

Anyone who was at the GCA conference down at Anniston, happen to see the 40Xs that Orest said he would be posting information about in the next several weeks?. Wondering if they are in the same condition as the ones they previously sold and if they have the Redfield sights which they sell separately. If I knew they were selling them again soon would have bought a Palma while they still had them for sale a few months ago.

Orest stated in a thread off the CMP board that some Olympic front sights will be available......maybe there will the whole selection, that would be my guess. http://www.thecmp.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2343

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a 40X? Are we talking Remington 40X's or a .22LR small bore rifle?

We are talking about Remington 40X's in .22LR. They come in both Standard and Heavy weith barrels.

Though they are Standard weight and Heavy Weight barrels, the last time, they were different Model 40X's The standard weight was the 722 based action 40X the other was the Heavy Weight 40XB 700 based action. Different triggers, stock configurations and actions.

AJ happy to find you hanging out here again. I am sure you have bunch of 22 rimfire target rifles, that you have gone into collecting them. Do you have a Finnish Lion yet from the fifties?. Yes was thinking of the heavy barrel Rem 40X, dam if you don't have a good memory. The standard barrel shoots so well that for just the type of shooting I do against myself, it seems good enough. Was really looking for a Win 52D again as someone walked off with it at the range up here, you know one of those drive up and park type. Nothing to make you walk down the range and go out one entrace exit. Do hope you are well. Now on disability, give me an hello via my email. Larry
