    Default 50-70 choices?

Who besides Buffalo Arms sells 50-70 BP cartridges?

If you plan on shooting the rifle a lot, buy the dies and unprimed brass. pays off in the long run

Thanks all. The Buff Arms load did not shoot well in a Springfield rolling block - great bore, great crown. I am looking for another maker to try before we slug the barrel and see what is going on.
The Ten-X company was very responsive but they use a black powder substitute
The Western Scrounger loads are smokeless.

    Any other ideas?

Sounds like you need to slug your barrel. Most loaded ammo uses the old Lyman 515141 bullet. You may need something else diameter wise.As John says, reload your own.

I shoot a converted '63 sharps 3 band that Bobby Hoyt streched the barrel. Shoots great and handloading is the only way I can afford to feed the critter. Up front costs with cases and dies was steep, but it wasn't long before i was way past the break even point.
