    Default Ruger 10-22 Stock advice

I have a old factory original Ruger 10-22 ( One of my favorite squirrel guns! ). I picked up another 10-22 barrel action w/o stock and wanted to get something different for it. Any suggestions or opinions on some of the well known stocks sets such as Promag, Muzzelite and Tapco?

    Thanks!

Years ago I bought a thumb hole stock from Zero stock company. Check out some of the 10/22 forms.

I use a Hogue over molded rifle stock. The Hogue stock is full sized, available for standard and heavy barrels, rubber coated, and
available in colors. Midwayusa has the black stock at $70 and various color stocks at $80.

I tried one of those. Didn't fit and was not "drop in". Tried a little dremil work on it but had to go through the rubber. What a mess when you get to the fibre glass. I will not buy another one!

May not be to your taste. They do look kinda funkey, but they feel very nice for shouldering and cheeking. I mounted a scope on one for a customer and was surprised at how nice it felt.

    FWIW,

I put an archangel target stock set on my 10/22. It was a drop in fit , but had to make sure the safety was in the middle.
The gun works fine without any problems.
