    Yeah there is a I795 or 1795. Not sure if it is an (I) or a (1) in front of the 7. I do have the other half of the griffen and howe mount.

    I guess the million dollar quesiton is, I know Sedgley's are sort of expensive for a custom 1903. But how much does a stock and bolt replacement hurt the value? I'm sort of having buyer's remorse on this one as I'm not sure why I bought it as it really doesn't fit into anything I collect.

    Yes, 1795 would be the Sedgley number so now we know the barrel and action are Sedgley. If the bolt was correct it would have the same number on the back side.

    There is no way to tell how the rifle left Sedgley with having the original stock.

    Got to say though that the rust blueing on this rifle is simly gorgeous. Nothing beats a satin rust blue. Period.
