Ammo at the Document Shredders

I was at the document shredders getting rid of some old paperwork and watching my stuff go into the grinder and I got in a conversation with the worker. He said they recently had someone bring in some big boxes from an estate. Suddenly, "KABOOM, BAM!... Etc." Holy exploding ammo, Batman!

He said it was '06. You would think people would check that old paperwork. Not much telling what gets thrown away like that.

I once did a start up job at a car crusher. This crusher could turn a full sized car into iron pellets in 30 seconds. The gas tanks were supposed to be removed before they hit the crusher. If one got missed, when it hit the crusher there was a BIG BOOM that was large enough to open a pressure relief steel door that measured 8 foot wide X 4 foot high and 5 inches thick. The crusher has a 5000 HP motor.

You did not check to see tanks were removed before crushing?

LOL I just sent that to my relatives,told them to remember that when they're throwing all my stuff away after I've crossed over.

The cars were off loaded from trailer trucks and placed on a conveyor and up to the chute. It went pretty fast and if the guy on the ground wasn't watching close it happened a few times. Ground guy was minimum wage and when fired he went back on unemployment.
