I forgot to mention at the auction on Jan 1st, that one 1898 Krag that had a cutdown stock and an 03 barrel on it had the 22 cal stamped on the side. I just read about them in Poyers book and it jogged my memory bank (what's left). Would that have been one to try to restore and have in a collection? Just asking if I see one again.
Also with more reading, I see that the 1896 Carbine that I went for had an 1892 rear sight on it. Are they rare? From all the reading of changes they made trying to get er right, I would say the 92 would have been rare.
Thanks again!

PS I'll bet you guys wish I'd quit reading don't you!!!!!!!
Nope I know how to tell a 92 stock and later ones. HEE! HEE!
Just Like Garands and M1 Carbines they all had their revisions, just have to study them!
