I picked up this Standard Products M1 1943 with a lot of collector ammo and more, I’m also trying to make out the hidden name someone carved and dated, Cheap, The man I bought it from had bad eyes and could only tell me it was an Underwood on the phone, that’s what was on barrel, and I know that to be ok. But when I seen it I new it was not. My problem is I know little about them, I do have 2 Underwood M1 with very little mix parts as far as I can tell, I’m more into 1911 pistols, but always like the M1.
This Standard Products looks great (will post pic’s). All the research I have done (PC, phone, Books) No imports marks. I took it apart all # on every parts but the rear sight; I think it should have the flip up. I always here buy Underwood, but this rifle looks great. Is this Standard Products less collectable or worth then an Underwood? Is there anything I should know about it? (Keep. Sell?) Any info would be helpful, Thanks Twisted.
Really want to know if there is anything I should look for
