    Default Trainer 22IV*

I have recently acquired a LE .22 trainer. Australian 53 build on a 1905 ENFIELD receiver. The charger quide bridge was removed, possibly during rebuild as it was neatly done. I have not seen another trainer done this way.

Any answers as to why the charger guide was removed?

    Thanks for any assistance.

Was the bridge removed or was it never there? Original 1905 receivers didn't have a charger bridge, but many were upgraded with one later in life. Are there rivet holes in the receiver wall?

Thanks for the heads-up. Upon a CLOSE look with a good glass I note that a Charger bridge was added and then later removed. I guess they did a lot to these older receivers when they converted them to .22's. Still a nice rifle with and interesting comfiguration. Any idea what the 9.E.3 stamping on the top receiver flat indicates?
