Default M1 Hand Stamped Carbine value

First post here... I apologize if this has been discussed, but I searched and could not find any real thread on this.

I don't collect these much although I do like to shoot them. I have a good condition M1 Carbine that is a "M1 hand stamped" version and it seems to check out on the serial number that they indeed were doing these "hand stamping" during this time period.

My buddy says I shouldn't shoot it as these have more value than a regular M1. My question is how much more? It seems to be correct. So, assuming good to excellent condition, what is it worth?

    TIA

I have several hand stamped inlands and one of them is my regular shooter. To the right person they may have a little more value but most carbine collecters are more worried about buying one carbine by each maker.
I'd say go ahead and shoot it.
As far as value, I'll leave that to someone else.

There is only a small premium on the handstamps. I'd go ahead and shoot it too. I've got a 6.7m handstamp that is going to be a shooter as soon as I get a couple of replacement parts. It just isn't that uncommon that I'd worry about shooting it.
