Military .30-06 match brass ...Where can I get some, and which is the best?

You can load match grade ammo using commercial brass with no fuss.
Spelling and grammar count!
Brass is brass. You won't see any difference between "match" and "ball" except for the primer crimp.
I've always found Jeff Bartlett to be a good source at a reasonable price http://www.gibrass.com/brass.html
Or HXP M2 Ball from CMP is kinda-sorta once-fired brass; it just hasn't been fired yet. The three-point european primer crimp often doesn't even need swaging/reaming.

What sense does this comment make?HXP M2 Ball from CMP is kinda-sorta once-fired brass; it just hasn't been fired yet.
It makes a difference... it's part of the equation.Brass is brass

I see a difference between lapua and commercial.
When I said "HXP is kinda-sorta once fired brass" I mean many shooters view it (or any M2 Ball) as being little more than plinking blammo. Good for tin cans out in the desert, or Standing practice, or some other use where accuracy isn't necessarily at the top of the requirements list.
But it is good brass for reloading and the primer crimp isn't the PITA to remove as it is on USGI brass.
So if a person was in the market for good once-fired brass and practice blammo he could buy HXP and have both.
When fired in an M1, even a match-prepped M1, brass really is brass. There is so much other stuff going on that any miniscule difference between GI "match" brass and GI "ordinary" brass (if there was any other than the primer crimp-don't think there was) it will be so far down in the noise as to be imperceivable.
But it's your money; spend it as you see fit.

I use a Dillon swager and it's still a PITA (for me).
I've used USGI "match" brass from M72, M852, and M118LR; both unfired pull-down and once-fired.
I've used USGI standard brass from M2, M59, and M80 Ball; both unfired pull-down and once-fired.
I've shot good scores and not so good scores with all of them.
I've shot better than guys using Lapua brass and been beaten by guys shooting GI standard brass.
But if you think it's better then it's better (for you).

Agreed, LC MATCH is alledged to be no better than LC ball brass, it just doesn't have a crimp. I use LC MATCH in my Garands and my M1A because I think it lasts longer than commercial brass. I use LC (or equavelent) in my NM AR15 as there is no 556 LC MATCH brass.
When I do use ball brass I use my Dillon swage to remove the crimp. I usually use LC ball brass at 100 yards and keep the LC MATCH for 200/300/600.
I use Lapua in my 6.5-284, 6BR and Palma rifle because I think it can make an accuracy difference in those custom bolt guns. I'd never dream of spending the money on Lapua brass to use in a service rifle, NM or service grade. I just don't think I would see a difference except that I doubt it would last as long considering the comparitively harsh environment of a semi auto service rifle to that of a bolt rifle.
milboltnut, Jaff Bartlett does indeed have LC MATCH 30-06 right now but the price is a premium over what it use to be a few years ago. What rifle are you going to be loading for and what is its purpose?

M-1 Garand.... 100- 300 maybe 600 in the future. I have heard other folks use commercial brass, and it's good enough. I don't like to waste time and components downrange and like to use the best I can, ie; bullets, powder, brass,....What rifle are you going to be loading for and what is its purpose?
