Default Air Force 22 LR Conversion

    Just got one,

It seems to be in super shape. Put some CLP on it and put it in my retro AR (standard trigger). Wolf match target, had probably 90 % failure to fire. Lite pin hits, does function fine when actually fires.

When i push on the rear of the firing pin, it seems like the spring opposing its movement in ridiculously strong. Thinking about trying to pull it apart and try with spring removed.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

I have one of the AF units, and as you say the firing pin spring is extremely strong, but mine has never failed to function in my old Colt AR15. I don't think I would try it without the spring, but you might try a weaker spring. There must have been a reason the spring was so tough.

Just a guess never used one. Maybe the stronger spring is for full auto fire in M-16.

    Default Fixed

Replaced spring with one out of a CMP ball point pen. Issue solved.
