Default M14 Rifle History and Development by Lee Emerson

I just saw a review of this gentleman's new 2-volume set on the M14 rifle. Has anyone seen these books yet? The set sells for a sobering $210 + S&H. For that price, I would hope they're both extremely comprehensive and extremely accurate. Any thoughts?

I have "The Last Steel Warrior - U.S. M14 Rifle" by Frank Iannamico. It's over 400 pages of every bit of information on the M14 than anyone could imagine. Was about $25 if I recall. Lots of great pictures too, From the development, the need, touches on sniper rifles, even M1A.

    I guess I'm just a cheapskate.

Thanks. I'm hoping to do a build from the ground up and I need a reference that will identify the correct parts and configuration in detail for a specific year. Do you thing The Last Steel Warrior would be a useful reference for my project?

All I know in thumbing back through the book is that it contains so much information on the M14 that it's mind boggling. There's more information there than I will ever hope to need.
