    Default primer shortage still

Paid a visit to my local reload shop and primers are in short supply again. The salesman said they thought the shortage was easing up a few months ago but supplies have dryed up. I have a case of each on order but Lord only knows whaen I'll get them.

I have no problem finding primers here. I just bought 1000 WW209s today for $39 including tax.

Powdervalleyinc.com has Wolf primers and also CCI Small Rifle Benchrest primers. There hasn't been any Winchester, Remington or Federal primers for a long long long time. No one has bought any because there hasn't been any shipped to dealers. At times there might be a dribbling of product, but it's just not there. I don't want BigMo to comment, so I'll just leave it this way!
Keep checking online at your favorite sites, powdervalleyinc.com, wideners.com, sinclairinternational, midsouth shooters supply, Bruno's, Champion Shooter Supply, etc etc etc.........................

My local dealer has a good supply of powder but no primers and little bullets to be found.

Saw Federal Match Large Rifle primers for $6.99 per 100. Sure glad I still have a few I hoarded during the last artificial shortage.

Here in Colorado, where I am anyways, primers, powder etc are all available and back to pre-hoarding prices. After that take Matt's advice and watch the websites- you'll get what you are looking for. Midway also had Remington primers- I don't know if they still do. But it's all available here-Winchester, Federal and Remington.

Matt also posted the day after you did that Natchez had winchester primers, despite what he posted here.

Thanks for letting everyone know how I posted that primers were not on the shelves one day but I found some the next day. Very observant and mighty white of you to show everyone on the forum that fact!

What was the date the hoarding started, 2 years ago? Seems odd that Colorado is the only place where the price of primers and powder have dropped back to 2008 or maybe 2006 levels. I remember the speech at the democratic convention where BHO spoke and people were talking he could possibly run for the nomination, some say it started then, but it actually happened right after Bush was re-elected for his second reign. I remember many of us were concerned he was starting to lean to the left on spending and refused to protect our borders. The buying started when his administration refused to address practical and common sense idea's, so in reality this concern that many faced only sparked more buying. That's another reason to keep up on current events and watch what your representatives are doing. If you do this, you will be better prepared to handle shortages in the future.
Buying is not hoarding and buying for your future is smart. The biggest problem with the word hoarding is that it's normally used by men who cry like little girls when they didn't listen to others on price increases and future availability. But what do I know!
