Just a note to thank Gus Fisher and all of you here on this board for your information. Today my name was placed on LRB's witing list for a new legal M14 receiver (semiauto only and thus legal in Cnada, the same as a bolt-action hunting rifle). The receiver will take 10-12 months to be built and then shipped the boarder crossing for me to pick up. In this time, I can save the money needed to buy the parts from my friend, and the other amount to buy the new receiver.

A new rifle from LRB can be purchased for about $2500, but this way my buddy gets some money out of his M14 for a new rifle, I get a very nice milspec GI M14, and another local collector gets the TRW receiver.
