    Default Gas Cylinder Lock Question

I have a gas cylinder lock with a large H marked on one side. Maker? What type of garand would it go with?

Default Are you sure its not marked M?

I think the M marked ones were hardened. Their use is between the beveled ones and the high hump if I remember correctly.

The M marked are hardened, issued about 1944 for use with grenade launchers

The H mark means it was hardened. These are thought to date from sometime around the end of WWII and were to be used with the M7A1 grenade launcher. They were usually packed with the launcher.
