Hello to all, this is my first post on the new board and I am so glad it is back. I to the range with one of my 1898/1902 Krag rifles on Wednesday. Never shot one until then. WOW! I now know what I am shooting in the Vintage Match next August at Perry. With 220gr (really old commercial ammo) it printed almost on top of each other. Yes, I was at a bench on a bag. With 180gr remington red box (really old ammo) it didn't group so tight. Your thoughts and comments are APPRECIATED! As always I come to this board to seek guidance, wisdom and a little razzing. My background is Garands, in that relm I can share wisdome but here I am a pup, so I am all eyes and ears. Is 220gr the standard for 30-40 Krag? Any other input will be helpful this rifle is fun to shoot.
