    Default 1911 vs Obregon

Latest issue of Guns & Ammo has an article on these. Any comments?
    Didn't know about that model.

The only things that I know about the Obregon are what I have learned from others. It is similar to the 1911 in design, with some notable differences. The Obregon emplys a rotating barrel lockup that is completely different from the 1911/Browning design. Other than that I understand that very few were produced, as the Mexican military did not adopt it.

    Scott,

I believe there were approximately 1000 produced. There is usually one at NGD in Louisville fairly regularly. They are interesting looking, especially when found with an original holster that resembles the US made Audley. I've never seen one actually sell, but they are typically pricey when you do finally see one.
