Christmas in Washington

An American friend in Oklahoma sent me this interesting news. As a non-American I can't vouch for its accuracy but some of it certainly would apply here in Ottawa:

There will be no Nativity Scene in Washington this year!

The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene in the United States' Capital this Christmas season.

This isn't for any religious reason. They simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the Nation's Capitol.

A search for a Virgin continues.

There will be no problem however, finding enough asses to fill the stable

By Jove mark, I do believe you nailed it! We have however solved the oil problem here in the States. It seems that all the oil is in Oklahoma and Texas and the dip sticks are in Washington!

Well I have to disagree. There are large herds of asses in the Capitol building. The problem is picking just one.
